2008 ended in a complete meltdown of the entire Dallas Cowboys Team. The loss to the Philadelphia Eagles of 44 - 6 on December 28th, was a direct reflection of a team that needs a change from the top down. There were several individuals responsible for the meltdown, but it all started with the talent that Jerry Jones put together, that could not work as a team to win a game to get into the post season.
Jerry Jones has too many other priorities to focus on besides the success of the team on the football field. There is no way that he can spend the same amount of time on the responsibilities of the General Manager office as a dedicated General Manager of other football teams.
It has been 13 years since the Dallas Cowboys won their last Superbowl!
The last time the Dallas Cowboys won a playoff game was the Wild Card Playoff game on December 28, 1996 against the Minnesota Vikings. That's been over 12 years since they won a playoff game. Only 5 teams of the 32 NFL teams have a longer playoff win drought than the Cowboys (Cincinnati Bengals - 1990, Detroit Lions - 1991, Kansas City Chiefs - 1993, Cleveland Browns - 1994 and Buffalo Bills - 1995).

Jerry Jones has hired 6 Coaches during his 20 years as Owner and General Manager of the Dallas Cowboys:
Only two of the 6 coaches have delivered a post season win, Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer, who basically won with the team that Jerry Jones built with Jimmy Johnson.
How many more coaches does Jerry Jones have to fire to win at least one more playoff game?
When Jerry Jones bought the Dallas Cowboys, it had been 6 years since our last playoff win and 11 years since our last Super Bowl win. Tex Schramm and Tom Landry had taken the team to 5 Super Bowls and had won 2 and took the team to the playoffs 18 time in 29 years. Despite such a GREAT success, Jerry Jones took over the team and immediately fired both Schramm and Landry. Now, after 20 years, it has been 12 years since our last playoff win and 13 years since our last Super Bowl win. Jones has taken the team to 3 Super Bowls and won all three and has taken the team to the playoffs 11 times.
As upset as TRUE Cowboys fans were back in '89, time has proven to us that the decision that Jerry Jones made at the time, was in fact the right decision. It is hard to imagine that Schramm and Landry would have been able to win 3 Super Bowls in 7 years. Time, however, has also shown us that it is TIME for history to repeat itself. It is time, for Jerry Jones to make the radical CHANGES that he made back in '89. Jones, himself, has said that it is time for a CHANGE! It is time for a REAL change!!
